Can I add a video to a Ponga picture?

You can play video in any of a variety of online video formats in a selection in a Ponga picture.

Upload or search for your video normally on your favorite video site like as Vimeo or YouTube. Once you find the video, find the “share” feature that lets you copy out the link or URL for the video.

The only constraint is that the link needs to be "public" or "published," it does not have to be "listed." You might choose unlisting videos for private family stories, for example. This is necessary because Ponga will embed that link for display in your picture.

Paste the video link into the Comment window then hit "enter," "return" or just add a space. That added space tells Ponga to reach out to the web for external content. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, you may need to wait a few seconds for the external content to come in. Notice that the Post button becomes active and that a preview of the video site becomes available. That's pretty much all there is to it.

This approach works with a wide range of video types from Youtube and Vimeo to Tiktok and Hulu. For a full list, see this list of video providers supported by Embedly, which is the same underlying technology used by Medium.com, LinkedIn, AOL.com, and many others.
