I can use apps to add sound to pictures, how is Ponga different?
Ponga is a service where recorded stories, laughter and music add context to pictures and albums shared privately in families.
You can use apps to add voice memos to images or use genealogy sites to associate audio files with image or document files. Ponga's approach is entirely different. We've built a service that's not focused on either photography or genealogy. Instead, we're focused on you, your stories, and those you want to share them with — privately.
Ponga gives you rich, sophisticated tools to explore the stories in pictures and the privacy to share and build on it with family.
Recorded sound is just one form of content you can add to your pictures. You can also write stories and add images. If documents from a newspaper, the library of congress or videos from a museum add to your story, add the link, we'll embed the material. We can add almost anything accessible and digital that tells your story more effectively.
